Privacy Policy — Rahma
Last updated: July 2026
Rahma is built by Ajnabi Designs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:
- Account information — your email address and display name when you create an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only what those services share (typically your name and email).
- Journal entries — mood, patience, and energy scores, reflection text, and duas you write in the journal.
- Motherhood-stage tracking data — depending on the stages you select, this may include Salah (prayer) logging, hydration and self-care tracking, prenatal/postnatal vitamin reminders, pregnancy symptom logs, and postpartum or loss-and-healing recovery logs. Some of this data is health-adjacent (symptom and recovery information) or reflects religious practice (Salah logging); we treat both as sensitive and apply the same protections as your journal content.
- Checklists and Memory Book entries — stage-specific checklists and milestone/keepsake entries you create.
- Profile preferences — motherhood stage(s), child count, notification settings. Used only to personalise your experience.
- Location — used on-device to calculate prayer times. Your location is never stored on our servers or transmitted anywhere.
- Device and usage information — anonymous crash and performance data, and app usage events (such as purchases completed, journal entries saved, and feature usage), collected via Firebase Analytics. This is not linked to your journal content.
None of this content is ever shared publicly or used for advertising.
How we use your information
- To provide and improve the app's features
- To sync your journal, favourites, and preferences across devices
- To send notifications you have explicitly enabled (prayer times, daily reminders) — these are scheduled and delivered locally on your device
- To process your subscription through Apple or Google's payment systems, via our subscription management provider
- To generate the personalised weekly reflection shown in your Insights — this involves sending relevant journal content to our AI provider for processing (see Third-party services below)
We do not sell your data. We do not use your journal content to train AI models, and content sent for insight generation is used solely to produce the reflection shown back to you.
